I had never before used a shaving brush. The Supply Silvertip Synthetic Shaving Brush is soft and flexible. It applied the Supply Ultra Shaving Cream evenly. It was a far better experience than using my prior name-brand shaving gel.

But I keep getting Knicks and cuts as I usually do with other single blade razors.

I have been sorely disappointed in the quality of shaves. It is inconsistent and leaves shave levels at a variety of areas around my face. It is apparent the blade is shard as I cannot feel it on my face, so I cannot tell whether it is cutting or not. Much greater success with my Harry razer with its floating head.

I switched from the SE to the max and it’s even better. I can now get into the places on my face that I had a bit of a problem with the SE. But don’t get me wrong it’s the best shave I’ve ever had.

I just completed my test of one. Eight shaves and I hate to admit that it is giving me a closer shave than my safety razor!

The SE Starter Set

It took a few tries to realize that the label instructions to use an "almond size" amount of shave cream would whip into plenty of rich lather for my shave. I use a mug (ceramic, pre-heated with water) and a brush -- that amount of shave cream produces enough lather for me to apply it twice during my shave. It moistens my face, softens my beard, and smells great!

Nice shaver. Took a minute to figure out how to load the shaver. Nice smooth shave. I'm not one to use shaving cream so I had some concern about smoothness. But it works great.

Did not think you could improve on the SE but you have. The swivel makes it very much easier to shave the jaw area. Shave perfect and ease of loading is great.

Both my wife and I have bad razor burn no matter what, and this is the first one that we don't get razor burn from. Great quality, packaging, and best of all a great shave! We'll be getting these for our kids too, because even they deserve an amazing razor.

Coming from an electric shave, it took a while to get adjusted. Now I love it, wouldn't go back!

I have loved my Supply SE for years now and was thinking about upgrading to one of the less beginner oriented supply offerings. This is truly a big upgrade, the rotating head allows the blade to get so close and expands the margin of error for shaving angle, would absolutely suggest this blade to anyone looking to jump to single blade shaving or anyone looking to upgrade from the SE or a more beginner friendly option!

Very good post shave! It's light and clean feeling. Also it's not greasy.

The Single Edge SE

Supply is incredibly customer focused. I love and use most of their products and I had one issue with the new blade delivery system for the Single Edge Max. I wrote them just as a heads up and they went forward and sent me another one at no cost. Their products are fantastic and I have to say they add to that with level one customer service.

The blade offers so much better shave than an electric razor. I appreciate the design of the container and ease of changing blades.

They are a lot easier to use, and seem sharper! My face is smoother afterwards, and I don’t have to use as much pressure, as I did with the other blades!

Been a Gillette Mach 3 & Harry's user for years. Shave by the Single Edge Max was comparable. However, like the feel and weight of the Max a lot better. Used the sample lather on first shave. It did not foam up and I had abrasion on my neck and cheek. Second shave I used my normal shave cream and did not have the same issue.
