The Supply Single Edge MAX is an impressive upgrade, demonstrating exceptional quality and performance. As someone who currently uses and loves the Supply SE razor, I can confidently say that the MAX takes the experience to the next level.

Packaging and Design - The overall packaging, blade cartridge system, and additional accessories, such as the mirror clip, are well thought out. The razor offers an excellent wet shaving experience suitable for beginners and significantly improves upon the SE model.

Transitioning from Multi-Blades - Switching from a Mach 3 to the Supply SE was a game changer. The well-balanced razor and sharp single-edge blades provided a smooth shave without the pressing, dragging, and pulling common with multi-blade razors. This switch eliminated the deep cuts and irritation I used to experience.

Why Upgrade to the MAX? Curiosity drove me to try the MAX, wondering how it could surpass the SE. The premium metal feel of the MAX delivers a sense of simple luxury. Replacing the blade is straightforward: pop the razor head open, align it with the cartridge, press down, and the magnets secure the new blade. Closing the razor head prepares it for use.

Shaving Experience - Using the Supply lather cream, which offers a clean, smooth lather with a pleasant scent, enhanced my shaving experience. The MAX's pivoting head is a game changer, hugging the curves of my face with effortless gliding. Its well-balanced weight prevents jolting, and although I occasionally need two or three passes, this does not result in cuts, unlike with multi-blade razors.

Head Shave - While I enjoy shaving with both the SE and MAX, the MAX excels when shaving my head. The pivoting head comfortably adapts to the contours of my scalp, providing a reliable and enjoyable daily ritual.

Final Thoughts - The Supply Single Edge MAX feels like the best of both worlds. It combines the pivoting head of traditional multi-blade razors with the quality, luxury, and balanced weight of the Supply brand. For anyone seeking an elevated shaving experience, the MAX is an outstanding choice.

Once I received the MAX, I waited 5 days to offer a good bit of stubble for my first shave. After watching the online tutorial, I appreciated the recommendation for light pressure but did manage to add more than required on some swipes. The razor did all the work with minimal effort and provided a very smooth shave. The blade loading was simple enough but I noticed there were two blades available when I rotated the test cartridge. I assume this was an error so I disposed of the one on top and used the one below that was supported by the pegs. I did manage two nicks because yes, I applied more pressure than was required. There is a short learning curve as I managed to nick my Adam's apple by using too much pressure. I typically use the SE and miss some of the beard hairs located around the bottom of the neck so I tried harder than necessary to remove those. By the way, the hairs that I sometimes miss with the SE were all taken down by the MAX. I usually experience some hair just below my chin when I shave with the SE but the MAX, with the pivoting head, handled these with ease. This shave is very close and I felt some minor sting when I rinsed my face with cold water. However, when I applied the Supply Post Shave there was no sting whatsoever. I love the way the MAX glides on the face and I look forward to getting hold of the production version. I also recommend a stand similar to the one that holds the SE.

I received the new razor last Saturday. It is very well balanced and a bit wider than the current supply razors which is a good thing.

Installing the blade is super easy, however the only challenge is the razor dispenser, when the dial is rotated to obtain a fresh blade, it would give you two blades instead of one. This happened more than once.

The pivot head is amazing! I can now get under my nose easily!! I t flow over your chin and jaw line smoothly and without effort! I really like the mirror holder for the razor as it frees up sink space.

The learning curve on this razor is almost non existent. It is very well balanced, and the shave is very close and smooth. I plan to get one for my dopp kit!

Platinum Label Blades

Great shave couldn’t ask for anything better.

For decades, the straight razor was my daily duel – a dance with danger in pursuit of the perfect shave. I loved the thrill, the focus... the fact that it made me feel like a Sweeney Todd who hadn't killed anyone (yet). But let's face it, at 86 and living where folks are extra careful with sharp objects, priorities change. Suddenly, my straight razor was less 'vintage cool' and more 'potential weapon.'

So, I reluctantly traded my cutlass for a single-blade. As a new user of Supply's contraption, I've discovered the closeness is shockingly good, but the learning curve is less like climbing Everest and more like, well, learning to use a slightly less terrifying butter knife.

While I'll always respect the straight razor's... edge, this single-blade razor is my evolution. It delivers a great shave without the need for a blood transfusion, and it fits into this new, gentler chapter of my life. It's less a replacement, more of a hilarious upgrade to a safer, less stabby, future.

The grip sleeve makes shaving with this razor so much easier as my hand stays put and does not slip. Well worth the small price!

But it could be better, for instance, the blade adjustment knob is hard to turn when hands are wet. An optional wing nut design will help tremendously.

Honestly I do notice a big difference from these compared to the black label blades. These cut closer, and I don't need to re-shave many areas on my face at all. Customer support has been fantastic as well. Five stars all around for the Supply team.

An exceptional razor deserves an exceptional stand…and this one is. It is elegant, solid and heavily weighted. All in all well worth the price.

The SE Starter Set

Been using the ultra lather shave cream for a while, I can assure you there is nothing better! Just tried the white birch and sage scent - it is definitely my new favorite!

This shaving cream is a amazing upgrade from your run of the mill cream. Feels great, works well and smells great. Super happy with the purchase.

There's a bit of a learning curve, but it's a top-quality product all the same. Gives a great shave every time.

I’ve tried many shaving products over the years, including a brand designed specifically for Black men that I liked quite a bit. I used their single-edge razor, trimmer, and electric shaver along with their soaps, body lotion, shave gel, and face wash. Since about 80% of my shaving routine is focused on my head, I found that I had to stop using the single-edge razor because it caused nicks and cuts. The shave was okay, but not exceptional, and while the trimmer was good, it had limited usefulness.

Then I discovered Supply’s single-blade razor. Initially, I had a rough start – entirely my fault – but Supply’s customer service was outstanding. They graciously and without hassle helped me get the right razor for my needs, even taking back the other (more expensive) razor and covering the return shipping. Once I had the right razor, it completely changed my shaving experience. I now consistently get a perfect shave with no nicks or cuts. It’s smooth, comfortable, and delivers a close shave every time.

Encouraged by the success of the razor, I decided to try Supply’s face wash, multi-purpose moisturizer, and aftershave. I love them all! They feel great on my skin and last all day. I was particularly impressed when I read the ingredients (using a magnifying glass, of course). I could pronounce most of them, and the primary ingredients were natural.

I also decided to give their trimmer shot, and it’s perfect. I can actually use it for a quick shave in the morning if I’m running late, and it gives a precise trim and a great shave.

For those guys who don’t use a moisturizer, whatever your reason, you’re missing out. I’m 75 years old, and people at work think I’m in my fifties – that’s how good these products make my skin look and feel.

Always loved single razors. This is revolutionary and certainly much cheaper than five blade razors. Clean even shave with little to no irritation.

I'm getting a much closer shave with the angle on these blades compared with the other Supply ones. Just shaving with the grain, I'm getting as close as I'd get with a few passes going across it before.

The black label blades provide a smooth shave without the nicks and cuts of most other blades. They are easy to use and leave you looking great.

I have been shaving for 35+ years now, I have been using multi blade razors all my life, have got shaves at Barber Shops, played around with straight razors but this is by far the Best shave I have ever had!!!

It’s taken some getting used to, but with some practice, I am now achieving a baby smooth shave. Also, it can take off thicker hair without clogging or a ton of extra passes. Bravo Supply! I look forward to shaving now instead of dreading it and putting it off!
