Materials

The Max’s handle is constructed from sandblasted aluminum and the shoulder is made from stamped aluminum with a glossy finish. The razor’s head is constructed from diecast zinc. 

The Max’s cartridge is made of ABS plastic with an electroplated finish.

How to Use Your New Single Edge Max

Step 1: Your Grip Matters

The grip on your razor defines its pressure on your face. We recommend “pinching” the triangular head of the razor with your thumb and forefinger, or holding the razor farther down on the handle.

Step 2: Keep it Light

No pressure! Unlike the SE, where you may have had to play with the angle for the best shave, the Max is a lot more forgiving. It’s designed to do the work for you, making for an even easier shave without having to press down hard.

Step 3: Feel the Glide

The Max should glide easily through your facial hair. If you notice any tugging, you may need to trim your hair down to avoid it getting stuck underneath the blade.

Step 4: Love Your Shave

Continue to shave as needed, for the rest of your life. One razor, a lifetime worth of results.

Pro Tip: If you notice shaving cream building up under the head of the Single Edge Max, we recommend rinsing the head of the razor under warm water to break up the excess product. For a deeper rinse, pop open the head of the razor with your thumb, rinse the flat plane thoroughly, and shave normally.

Excellent Razor

I received my Single Edge Max last week & I love it! I have used it 2 times already & it shaves closer then the Sigle Edge SE that I was using before. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who shaves at least 2 or more times a week! It keeps my goatee nice & clean! My wife also noticed a difference because she said that my face was smoother then before!

Best razor I've ever!!

I purchased the SE a while back and when I saw the new SE Max, I had to have it. It's a easy transition and feels great in the hand. And I think the best shave I've ever had.

Have used my new max three times. The handle is perfect my SE was slippery until I got the silicone sleeve. I am still adjusting the pivot head feels like I have less tactile control than with the SE but the shave matches the SE so time will tell which one I like best! Both do an amazing job giving a close shave. The SE is hard to beat it was the best razor I have used in 60+ years of shaving so we’ll see if the max unseats it!

After trying the single edge pro which did not work for me whether not being able to find the right angle or dial in the right shave the max was a pleasant surprise. I love the pivoting head which seems to always have the blade at just the right angle for delivering a perfect and fast shave.

Great upgrade

Nifty new design

I am currently in rehab following a hospital stay. I had a beard and was able to shave it off with this razor. I have always been satisfied with Supply products and am very pleased with their new Single Edge Max.

Comfortable shave

This gives a comfortable and smooth shave when shaving with the direction of your beard. For a closer shave go against the grain. This provides a really close shave but can cause nicks and is not as comfortable. Next time I attempt this I will use light pressure which should solve this problem.

Here are a few quick tips: use short, gentle strokes (multi-pass shaving helps), keep the blade at a low angle - - about 5–10 degrees and make sure your blade is still sharp.
