16 fins drive our new Nickstop™ technology. They are precisely placed on the SE’s safety bar to lift and guide hair to the blade. They work with the bar to flatten your skin, creating a smooth surface for the blade to glide across. The result is a safe, smooth shave no matter where you’re shaving.

What blades does it accept?
The Single Edge accepts "injector" style blades. These are not proprietary to us and have been in production for over 100 years.

How long do the blades last?
Everybody changes out their blades at different intervals due to the fact that our skin, hair, and preferences are all different. That said, most customers easily get 8 to 10 shaves out of each blade. A single pack of eight blades can last up to three months if you shave 5-6 times a week.

Good So Far

Since retirement in early 2022, I have characteristically allowed my beard to grow longer. Multi-blade cartridges always clogged despite yet yielded a fairly close shave. I have now shaved with the SE three times, the first being when my beard was at least a quarter inch long. I have never had a thick beard, so I was not too concerned that a single blade would slice and dice my face. But there was a bit of trepidation with the first shave nonetheless. Overall, the experience was and has been, so far, very good. I get as good or better a shave with the SE compared to multi-blade cartridges and with no nicks or cuts. I'm expecting this experience will continue. The razor itself feels good in the hand. And while it's heavier than a multi-blade razor, it is still easy to control. And thank-fully, I can finally get a razor clean after a shave and have it ready to go for the next!! Overall, I am pleased with the shaving experience.

Love this razor

Really love this razor. I have sensitive skin and struggled to find a razor I like. I initially was using a Braun electric razor but was told to go for a single blade after my dermatologist told me it’s irritating my skin. I tried all sorts of multi blade razors like Harry’s Gillette etc. nothing really compares to the SE. I love how you can use the same razor over and over again. The swapping of blades and cleaning is super easy. I’m excited to keep using it! Definitely makes shaving more enjoyable.
