What's the big deal with parabens?

Here's the deal. We know that you want to use products with better ingredients, but you don't know where to start. After all, you have more important things to do than decode the labels on the back of your grooming gear.

On the back of our grooming products, you'll notice our formulas are free of parabens, sulfates, and phthalates. You work hard, play hard, and researching parabens just isn't making it high on your priority list.

We're here to tell you that steering clear of parabens is a very good idea.

Parabens are chemicals used as preservatives in most cosmetic and body care products. Their purpose is to increase shelf life by preventing the growth of mold and bacteria. Keeping products mold-free should be a good thing, right?

Wrong. When you use paraben-containing products, they can enter your body through your skin. And parabens are believed to disrupt hormone function and harm fertility and reproductive organs while increasing the risk of cancer.

So, how do you keep your products preserved and free from mold and bacteria, but in a natural way? So glad you asked.

Meet Tocopherol.

Tocopherol is a form of Vitamin E typically derived from vegetable oils. It's an excellent antioxidant preventing the oxidation of oils, which preserves formulas that are not water based. Since we do not include water in any of our formulas, all natural tocopherol works hard preserving your products while feeding your skin.

Studies have shown that tocopherol:

  • Absorbs UV rays and helps prevent UV-induced free radical damage to skin
  • Acts as an anti-inflammatory agent in skin
  • Helps moisturize
  • Helps reduce pollution-related free radical damage

We will always use the most premium, ridiculously good-for-you ingredients on the planet. Period. No need for you to get a PhD in chemistry to read our labels and understand them.

And our products will never be made with parabens. Not now. Not ever.
