So Close We Can Taste It

Those of you that have been following our story know that we've had a long road to get to full rate production of the Single Edge razor. And we're very excited to announce that road has almost come to an end. 

Over this past weekend, we approved our first full rate manufacturing run with a new supplier for our Single Edge razor. This manufacturing run has actually been in the works for months, but my approval on the "First Article" off the assembly line was required to finalize the production. That approval was given just a few days ago.

(First article is just a fancy industry way of saying the first product off an assembly line.)

Actually, if we're being completely accurate, it took a "Second Article" approval to move forward. The first article off the production line had a few cosmetic defects that I rejected, requiring the approval of a second article. This second article looked fantastic, as you can see in these pictures. 

I'm very pleased with the quality of this razor. From the finish to the function - and most importantly, to the shave - this razor oozes quality. We're extremely proud to offer a razor of such high tolerances and quality at such an amazing price point. This razor is CNC'd to extremely tight tolerances (+/- 0.1mm), and is the only stainless steel CNC razor in the world offered under $100 (as far as we're aware). 

But how does it shave? In short, excellently. I've personally tried all three shave settings - Sensitive, Classic, and Aggressive - and each performs wonderfully. Personally, I have always struggled with sensitive skin and razor burn, so the Sensitive setting is my favorite. No burn, no bumps, nada.

To those of you out there that have patiently endured the journey with us, we cannot thank you enough. The wait will soon be over, and you'll be shaving soon with this fantastic razor. 

At this time, we anticipate deliveries to begin the week of Monday, November 21st. As always, this may flex a bit based on how things progress, but all the hard parts are behind us. All the razors have been manufactured and are currently undergoing final CNC and polish. After that, it's packaging, inspection, and off to you!
