The shave:

Splash your face with warm water. Skip canned foam.
Wet the brush, swirl into the Ultra Lather, and build the lather on your face in slow circles for about thirty seconds.
Hold the razor at a shallow angle, about thirty degrees from the skin. Shave with the grain on the first pass. Use short, light strokes. Do not press.
Rinse the head under warm water every few strokes. Relather between passes.
Rinse with cool water, pat dry, and apply two pumps of Healing Post-Shave Spray.

The shape:
Use the Trimmer to set your beard line, control length, and clean up edges. Dry or wet. Pick a guard length on the dial, work against the grain for an even cut, and finish the cheek and neck lines freehand. Rinse the blade under water when you're done.

What does SE stand for?
Originally Sensitive Edition. The name stuck. The SE is the more forgiving of Supply's two razors: fixed head, NickStop micro-fins, blade slightly off the skin. More forgiving than the MAX, less forgiving than a cartridge. Razor burn comes from pressure and overdue blades, not from the razor itself.

Is a single edge razor better than a cartridge razor?
A single edge cuts cleanly at the skin's surface. Cartridges stack blades that multiply friction and drag. Most men who switch report less irritation, razor burn, and bumps, especially on the neck. The tradeoff is technique. For men willing to learn, the result is better skin and a closer shave over time.

What blades does the Supply Single Edge SE use?
Standard injector-style blades, in production for over 100 years and available from multiple brands. Supply's blades are twice as thick as modern razor blades for less flex, less drag, and a cleaner cut. Buy them from Supply or from other retailers.

How long do Supply razor blades last?
Eight to ten shaves per blade. A pack of eight lasts about three months at 5–6 shaves a week. Replace at the first sign of tugging, not on a schedule. A sharp blade is safer than a dull one.

Do I need the brush and the cream, or can I use what I already have?
The brush and cream are in the kit because they change the shave more than people expect. A brush-built lather softens the hair before the blade reaches it. Canned foam sits on the surface and doesn't. Without that softening, the blade has to work harder, which means more passes and more irritation. You can shave with a Supply razor and a different lather. You'll get the most from the kit using all five pieces together.

What is the difference between the Supply SE and the Supply MAX?
The SE has a fixed head with NickStop fins that hold the blade at a consistent angle. Supply's most forgiving razor, built for men new to single-blade shaving. The MAX has a pivoting head and exposes more of the blade at skin level for a closer shave, but requires more control. Start with the SE if you're new. The MAX is for shavers who already have the technique and are looking for the closest shave.

Nothing on this razor moves or flexes. The head is fixed and the blade angle is set, so the only variable left is you - which is the point. Bout time!!

It’s about time that they finally come out with a razor that I could use both on shaving my head and my face and my neck. I like the innovative angles, it’s a surprise that no one else has ever come up with this concept glad they did. Hope you stay in business for a while so I can continue to buy your products. The only thing I need new blade cartridges and I don’t know how to order them. Also, I would like your spray that you use the aftershave spray that eliminates hair bumps. If you could let me know how to order your products I’m sold I will stay with your brand.

Very efficient

The trimmer is really efficient as well as the razor. I wish the razor was a bit longer or had a better handle. The slick design shortness makes difficult to handle it especially when wet, but overall, I like how it shaves.

The trimmer works great and the single edge has a nice feel to it, the Sandalwood and Cedar cream and after shave smell amazing, smells better than some of my colognes lol.

Would love if the trimmer came in different colors but the matte black is not bad.

Huge Doubts Diminished after First Shave!

I was skeptical about ordering this kit. I had looked at it for more than a year but never hit the PURCHASE button. I'm glad I did. The shave is incredible and much less work than my Gillette 5 blade system. The SE glides down my face by it's shear weight alone and produces a smooth and close shave. The email tips were very helpful. So glad I bought it!! You won't regret it. The trimmer is great too. I recommend purchasing the complete shave and trim set.

Great product despite sometimes shaky hands

A user of multi-blade cartridges for over 40 years, I just switched over to the Supply side of the aisle after receiving ‘The Complete Shave and Trim Set’ as a gift this past Christmas. The gift set includes the Single Edge SE, the Supply Trimmer, a Black Label Blade Pack, the Ultra Lather Shaving Cream and Healing Post Shave Balm, along with the Silvertip Synthetic Shave Brush. After 3 weeks of use, I can say that I am pleased with the products and how they perform in my hands. I use that turn of phrase ‘in my hands’ in the literal sense, as shaving has become a challenge for me at this point in my life. I’m not old, mind you, but I’ve developed intention tremors in both hands, and they get worse when I focus on fine hand movements. This condition makes it difficult to use a spoon or hold cup of coffee without spilling the contents, so you can imagine the challenge when trying to safely use a shaving razor AND maintain straight beard lines on the cheeks and below the chin. Thankfully, the Single Edge SE has great weight/heft (which helps stabilize my hand motions) and it does a great job at keeping my hairlines precise and clean, which is my beard preference. I’m still learning how to use the Supply Trimmer to maintain those lines, but it does the job. In summary, these are great products that work well, even in my sometimes shaky hands.
