Why three pieces, not one

A single blade needs a dense lather to cut cleanly without pulling, and skin needs the moisture back after the last pass. Cartridge shaving never asked for either, the gel strip did the work, badly. This is the routine the shave actually requires.

The jar and the bottle each last about three months. So does a pack of blades. The whole routine runs on one clock.

The Single Edge SE. Solid zinc alloy handle, zinc alloy head. Fixed head with NickStop Safety Bar. Four ounces. The weight does the work, so you shave with light pressure.

Ultra Lather Shaving Cream. Plant-based, dense lather. Kaolin clay softens the stubble, shea and jojoba calm the skin. A fingertip is enough. One jar lasts about three months. Named Best Lathering Shave Cream of 2025 by Men's Journal.

Healing Post-Shave Spray. Alcohol-free and plant-based. Most aftershaves are mostly alcohol, which strips the skin and triggers more oil. This one calms the skin and replaces the moisture the shave removes. Two pumps after every shave.

Splash your face with warm water.
Build the lather and work it in for about thirty seconds. Use a brush or your fingertips.
Hold the razor at about thirty degrees. Short, light strokes, with the grain on the first pass. Do not press.
Rinse the head every few strokes and relather between passes.
Rinse cool, pat dry, two pumps of Healing Post-Shave.

The Single Edge SE

Fixed head. Four ounces of solid steel. One blade.

Nothing on this razor moves or flexes. The head is fixed and the blade angle is set, so the only variable left is you - which is the point. Sixteen NickStop fins along the safety bar flatten the skin and lift the hair, giving the blade a steady plane to cut against. They help the technique. Technique is still required.

Hold it flat on your skin, tilt until the blade engages, light pressure, with the grain on the first pass. The same technique works on face, head, and legs.

Ultra Lather Shaving Cream

Dense lather, no foam. A fingertip is enough. Wet the brush, swirl into the jar, and build the lather on your face for about thirty seconds. The density is what lets a single blade cut cleanly without pulling.

Smooth and comfortable

I haven’t used an injector razor since the late 60’s. I use a double edge razor. This gives a smoother shave than the double edge.

Awesome Quality

Wonderful quality across the board for this shave kit. The blade is super sharp (be careful the first time you use it if you're like me and coming from always using normal 5 blade razors!) and the lather is nicely concentrated so you don't have to use much of it each time. I also love the post-shave spray - it smells great!
