What type of blades are these?
The Single Edge accepts standard "injector" style blades. Each razor ships with a magazine of 8 stainless steel, Japanese-made injector blades. A pack of blades typically lasts up to three months and only cost roughly 10 cents per shave.

Are they proprietary?
Nope! These blades have been in production for 100 years and can be easily purchased on our website , Amazon.com, and more.

How long do they last?
Everybody changes out their blades at different intervals due to the fact that our skin, hair, and preferences are all different. That said, most customers easily get 8 to 10 shaves out of each blade. A single pack of eight blades can last up to three months if you shave 5-6 times a week.

How are these blades different from DE blades?
Our blades are twice as thick as blades that are used in both multi-blade and single blade razors, which means they flex less, they cut cleaner, and they last longer. Fun fact: injector blades were originally invented by Schick in the early 1900’s. They quickly developed a cult following as a safer alternative to the Gillette double edge blades.

How do I dispose of used razor blades? Do they create waste?
Each Single Edge ships with a magazine of 8 stainless steel injector razor blades. If you look at the back of the pack, you will see a nifty opening to insert used blades. No sharp objects lying in your trash can or recycling bin unattended or waiting for an unsuspecting toddler or pet to find. Once you are through with all of your blades, you can recycle the entire magazine, blades and all. Safe and better for the environment!

Insert the key from your blade pack into the head of the Single Edge Razor.
Push the slider across - toward the razor - to inject a blade.
You just swapped out your blade in less than 2 seconds without touching the actual blade!

Great blades

From 3 to 5

On Feb21 I wrote a 3 star review. What I liked: What most of us do. What I didn't like... the damn key broke when I was trying to open the handle for cleaning. I was on only my second blade. I simply left the review here. Without my asking, they just sent me a new one! Customer service! Wow! Okay, not an expensive part, but it's principle of the thing. I received it a few days later, and today, just today, I put the second blade of the replacement in. The first place lasted several shaves, and I go three or four days between shaves for no reason other than knowing that with a single blade razor, the several days growth can be swept away, set for the weekend! Sure, with a DSC 6 blade cartridge, I could sweep it away, but then it would get all gunked up and I might not even get a second use out of it. With supply, I'll be able to get several uses. With practice it gets easier... I'm not cutting myself as much. Go lightly, it says. -Cheers, good luck.
